Loki frowned as he stared at the cellphone in his hand, unsure what he was going to do. The little shifter was still processing the discussion he had just finished with Azazel. Azazel...the mysterious man that took Loki in only a few days ago finally gave him a job. Loki knew that a day like this would come. It was a part of their arrangement. He wasn't living with the guy for free or out of the kindness of the other man's heart. Loki would get a place to stay so he would be free from the streets and in exchange he had to do whatever his 'employer' told him to do. Within reason of course. Or so Azazel claimed. Loki had assumed that the whole within reason part would leave out the most dangerous of tasks. Anything beyond his abilities or killing anyone would be out of the question. Thankfully his first mission was nothing like that, but it did have a hint of danger that made the young man second guess this whole arrangement.
What his mission was on the surface might have sounded simple to anyone else. All he had to do was find a person. It wouldn't be too difficult for someone like him to do. There might be a lot of people that lived in New Orlands but with the right amount of poking and snooping around he could find information about anyone in the city. But as the boy got more details about who he was searching for the less he liked this mission. The man he was looking for according to Azazel was a hellhound. A monster that rose out from some other dimension bound to this world, that was currently walking the earth in human skin, that if provoked could discard its disguise and rip its enemies faces off at any second.
Loki didn't know much about the world Azazel called hell but he did know a little about the creatures that came from there. Demons were some of the most common supernatural species in New Orlands, and out of all the supernaturals they were always the most dangerous. They were naturally aggressive and outrageously strong. Hellhounds were probably another kind of demon, if they were they would be just as bad as any other demon. Maybe even more so, the hound part of their name was a good implication that they were canine in nature. Just thinking about that made Loki shudder. Loki hated dogs. Most of the dogs he had encountered in his life (mainly stray dogs) always tried to chase him, bigger dogs even tried to eat him. How different could a hellhound be?
He didn't like this, not one bit. It sounded dangerous just to try and find the guy. If only it stayed at just following the guy. Tracking a hellhound down wouldn't be so frightening if it wasn't for the other set of instructions. Once Loki managed to find this hellhound guy he had to call Azazel back, and then stall the beast till Azazel could get there. That's right he had to stall the big scary beast that could easily chew his face off. That's right, he had to get in harms way just to stall the dumb beast and try not to get killed in however long it would take Azazel to come in to take over. Loki wasn't too pleased to hear that, and didn't hesitate to tell his new friend how he felt about that. But Azazel just brushed his concerns aside and spouted some nonsense about how Loki needed more confidence in himself to get the job done.
It takes a lot more than confidence to keep yourself from getting killed. the boy thought as he walked down the street through the busy crowd. Despite the risks and hesitation Loki moved to do the task assigned to him. Like it or not this was the job he had to do. He had put his life in danger in the past for less than this. It was those very gambles with his life that led him to Azazel in the first place. He owed the man for saving his butt once so for that he was willing to take another little gamble to do the man a solid. Loki focused his thoughts at the task at hand as he walked around. How was he going to go about finding this hellhound? If he had any chance at finding one demon in a big city he would have to start at the busy place there was.
The shopping district. It wasn't much but it was a start. If the hellhound preyed on humans like some demons did the shopping district was the perfect place to find prey. Even if he wasn't there he could always find someone that might know him. The shopping district wasn't just populated with innocent humans and the creatures that preyed on them. There were plenty of other people that liked to gossip, or exchange certain information depending on what you wanted. It was the perfect place to start, so that was where he headed. It didn't take too long for Loki to make his way to the center of the district. The boy walked around, pretending to window shop while he scanned through the crowds to look for the creature he was after, or at least anyone that might know of him.

Today was the perfect day to take a trip to the pet store. This had to be one of Gil’s favorite places in the shopping district. Going to the pet store made his usually bad mood almost disappear. This little store had everything Guillotine could possibly want and then some. Hell, he came here so often the employees knew him by name. After strolling through the doors Gil made a beeline to the dog toys like he always did. The hound wished he could transform and come into the store just to play with their dog toys. It only made things better that customers were allowed to bring their dogs into the store. Other canines seemed to be the only animals that were actually interested in seeing Gil. Animals didn’t seem phased by Guillotine’s human form. It was almost as if they could see through his disguise. Maybe it had to do with his scent? Perhaps he was giving off a dark aura? Regardless of the reason, meeting another canine that wanted to play made for a very interesting experience. It was a shame Gil was forbidden to change in public or else the hound might have done that just so he could play tug-o-war with another dog over a rope toy.
Guillotine spent quite a bit of time playing around with toys before making his way over to the dog food, which is why he even came here to begin with. It was lunch time and Guillotine was hungry. In the past Gil would have snatched up a human or two while he was out. However, that time in his life was over. The vicious flesh eater was now reduced to eating dog food. Which, really didn’t bother him. The dog food never made him sick like the human’s food did and it didn’t taste that bad either.
After picking out a large fifty pound bag Gil made his way over to the register. He was lucky he still had Jesse’s credit card or else he’d be shit out of luck. Gil didn’t have any money and the last thing he wanted to do was make the long trek home just to get some food. By that time he might have decided to eat a human just to satisfy his hunger. Yeah, that would be his excuse if Jesse were to say anything. A grin appeared onto Gil face as he placed the bag down for the cashier to scan. The female cashier seemed to know the hellhound from his regular visits. The woman didn’t hesitate to speak to him. “You must have a really big dog, Gil. You come in here almost every day.” The cashier said with a smile. “Y-Yeah, he is pretty big.” Gil replied before handing the woman his card. Once he got it back she continued to speak. “You know you are always welcome to bring him into the store. I’d love to see him. ” Gil wasn’t quite sure why but just hearing those words made him happy. If only she knew, she wouldn’t be so eager to meet the mysterious canine.
Oh, well, why not humor her? “Maybe one day.” Guillotine said with an awkward chuckle. Any excuse was a good one in his option. The woman seemed pleased with Gil’s answer. So much so that she handed the man a dog treat. The tiny dog treat looked more like a human cookie, but the smell would tell a person otherwise. Guillotine looked a bit confused before he took it. Was this for him? Did humans eat dog treats? Soon, the cashier answered his question. With a smile she said, “This is for your dog. If you bring him in he’ll get another one.” A large, stupid grin appeared onto Guillotine’s face. He couldn’t wait to eat it! Maybe he looked a bit too excited to be getting something that was supposed to be for his dog. It took everything Gil had not to wag his butt. This had been the best thing that had happened to him today. He got a treat! “I’m sure he’ll love it! T-Thank you!” The male was trying not to eat the damn thing in front of the human. It just smelled so good. He put it in his coat pocket for later.
“Have a good day, Gilbert.” After taking the bag of dog food Guillotine slung it over his shoulder. He then waved to the cashier before leaving. Now outside Gil was trying to figure out where he could eat. Obviously standing out in the open wasn’t an option. No, he would have to look around and find a secluded spot. Maybe there was an alley near by? Guillotine began to walk along the sidewalk with the bag of dog food on his shoulder. He kept an eye out for any alley ways. It wouldn’t have been a problem if he didn’t have to transform just to eat the whole bag. Gil was thankful he could transform at all today. Since that night at the cemetery Gil had become a bit weary of his medication. He’d ran into some serious trouble that night. Today he made sure he could transform. Gil just prayed he wouldn’t have to.
While walking Gil couldn’t help but to think back to what the cashier said. He’d get a treat if he brought his dog. Maybe if he strolled back into the place in his hellhound form she would give him another treat? No, that would be stupid. He wouldn’t get a treat, maybe a face full of bullets, but no treats. Man, if only he was like Raffe and could turn into a normal dog then maybe he would get more treats and belly rubs from people. The people he knew never wanted to give him belly rubs. So why would a complete stranger want to? Was his other half really that intimidating? Guillotine’s stomach began to growl. The sudden noise broke the hound from his thoughts. He was still walking about through the crowds of people. He needed to get away from them. But where could he possibly go?
(( I wasn't sure what to put at the end D: ))

Now where should he go? That was a question that ran through Loki's mind once he made his way into the shopping district. While the boy knew the general area of where he should start his search, he wasn't all too sure how he should go about it. He had come here on a whim, a pretty decent whim, but a whim no less. It didn't help that he was still somewhat new to the city. It had barely been two weeks since Loki had found his way to this place so he still didn't have the city fully mapped out in his mind yet to make searching easier. Oh well what could he do? The shifter kept walking down the street amongst the crowd, looking around for anything that could help him in his search, all while acting casual when something peculiar happened...he found his man.
Loki could hardly believe what he was seeing. He had only just came to this area and he already saw his target coming out of a shop. A pet shop of all places. What a strange place for a demon to be visiting. It would have made more sense if the guy was more like a shifter or any other less blood thirsty creature, but that was not one of the places Loki anticipated. Was this really the guy he was after? Or did he make a mistake? No, its gotta be him, he fits the description right down to the last detail. Azazel didn't give the most detailed of physical descriptions but he did say that who he was looking for was pretty tall, even taller than Azazel was, sickly pale skin, and looked like he barely got a wink of sleep. The only thing he couldn't see from this distance was if he had green eyes. That would be an easy thing to figure out if he could get closer. There was that and his scent. Azazel didn't know what Loki was so the man hadn't thought to tell the boy to catch his scent, but Loki's keen senses were strong enough to tell if the stranger was human or not. He just needed to get a bit closer to confirm.
But first he had to make a call. Loki slowed his pace a little bit so he could keep a safe distance away from his target while keeping an eye on him as he quick dialed Azazel. “I found him.” Loki didn't even wait for Azazel to speak once the man picked up the phone. “I am at the shopping district right now, I just saw the guy come out of the pet store. I will try to buy you some time but get here as soon as you can.” with that part of his task done Loki hung up and continued to tail him. So far things were going well. He found the guy, and informed Azazel of his location. Now was time for the hard part. Distracting him. Just how was he suppose to do that? This wasn't like pickpocketing, most of the time when he stole he spent his time trying not to get noticed, but in this case he had to get the guy's attention if he wanted to hold him off somehow. But how?
Eventually an idea formed in his head. It was a classic trick he picked up in his thieving days. Back in the day he would sometimes 'accidentally' bump into people so he would get the chance to put his hand in their pocket and steal their wallets without them noticing. It was surprisingly effective, and left his victims unaware of what happened until later on. Perhaps it could work here with a little bit of tweaking. Loki picked up the pace to close the gap between them. He looked around him quickly to make sure no one was actually watching before he half pushed, half tackled the guy (he was sure a little push would barely make him stumble). With any luck the guy would fall, or at the very least get off balance enough to drop the bag he was carrying. Either way the boy would immediately jump in to help steady the guy. “Holy shit, I'm so sorry.” the boy said with all the sincerity and concern he could muster as he tried to help the man steady himself. While he was trying to help the guy out he took the chance to sneak his hand in the guy's pocket to grab whatever he could, and slide it into his own pocket as a backup plan. If the goods he might have dropped didn't stall him, he could always use stolen or lost goods as a reason to keep the hound in the area. “Are you okay mister? I hope I didn't hurt you.”

What a great day this was turning out to be. Guillotine couldn't wait to find a place to settle down and eat his kibble. Whenever he finished the bad he planned on enjoying the treat the cashier gave him. He would have to convince the woman to give him another treat the next time he dropped by. Maybe he could talk Raffe into transforming and going with him. Gil grinned at the thought. Yeah, he could finally have that guy on a leash. The beast then shook his head. There was no way Raffe was going to let Gil walk him. Oh well, maybe he could make something else up to get a treat or two on his next visit? This seemed like a more plausible idea.
Guillotine continued to walk along. All the while he was looking for a place to eat. The beast suddenly stopped. He saw an entrance to an alleyway in the distance. This was perfect! Before the hellhound could take a step he felt someone run into him. The force was enough to make Guillotine stumble and drop his bag of dog food. The hungry hellhound watched in horror as the bag hit the ground and busted open. Tiny bits of dog food scattered along the sidewalk. Some of it even spilled over into the street. For a brief moment Guillotine felt numb. Everything around him seemed to vanish for an instant as his eyes peered down at the little pieces of kibble. Gil thought he heard a voice behind him but really he ignored them. What on earth were they thinking?
Suddenly, Guillotine could feel his body grow hot. The male’s brow furrowed and his muscles grew tense. He snapped his head around to see a man standing there but really Gil could mistake the smaller male for a teen. Regardless of his height Gil was about to lay into him. This man just had to come out of no where and ruin his lunch! Gil wasn’t happy, not in the least. The beast let loose an angry growl. Suppose he should have taken more of his medication? Sure he wouldn’t be able to transform but he wouldn’t be as angry as he was now.
“What is your f*cking problem?!” Guillotine barked, he pulled himself from Loki’s grasp. At this point Gil didn’t seem to care if the little man apologized. The damage had already been done and Guillotine wasn’t about to take any of his excuses. The shifter had messed with the wrong hound. Gil looked over at the spilled bag again. There went his lunch. The more Gil looked at it the angrier he became. Maybe he would make the other man pay with his flesh. Gil was tempted to settle on that deal. He was so frustrated that he had yet to realize his treat was missing from his pocket. If only he knew, he would be seeing red.
Guillotine’s forest green eyes then looked back at Loki. The hair on the back of his neck began to stand on end as he approached the smaller man. It was obvious that Gil was trying to intimidate the smaller being. This wasn’t the best course of action. However, he wanted Loki to be scared. The hound wanted to make the shifter suffer for spilling his lunch. “What am I to do now that my lunch is gone?” This was possibly the most idiotic thing Gil had yet to say today. He was giving the strange man a hint that he wasn’t human. Really, the hound was so irritated that he didn’t seem to care.
As Guillotine approached Loki his scent streamed into Gil’s sensitive nose. The hellhound took a moment to relish it. He inhaled deeply, almost rolling his eyes back as he did so. Gil knew a cat when he smelled one. What kind of cat he wasn't sure. The little man could be like Akeelah and can transform into a fearsome beast. If this was the case then Gil might have his work cut out for him. Akeelah could easily hold her own in her leopard form, even against him. She might not be the largest of the big cats but she could still do a great deal of damage. Unfortunately, the hellhound was so angry he was willing to take his chances with this one. A sickening grin appeared on Gil’s face. He was holding himself back from jumping onto the smaller male. “I suppose I could always eat you little man. “ A dark chuckle then streamed from his lips. He glared down at Loki, attempting to size him up. “ I’m sure your flesh taste better than dog food. It's been ages since I've last eaten a cat.”

This plan was not the greatest plan in the world, but with so little time, and a target already looking around for somewhere to disappear into Loki didn't have much of a chance to come up with something better. For better or for worse he had to go with the plan he did have and fast. At least the plan went off without a hitch. Loki was successful, he bought himself some time to delay the possible hellhound without anyone seeing what he was doing, including the victim. Even better, when he 'accidentally' bumped into the guy the bag he was carrying fell and split open, dumping most of its contents on the floor. Unfortunately for its owner that meant wasted money, but for Loki it was a good excuse to stay in his company. That was what he wanted after all. He didn't just decide to bump into the man and wing it from there. He had a plan for what would go down after. He wanted the man to drop what he had so he could convince the guy he would pay for what he had lost. Good thing Loki had some money leftover from his last theft. It wouldn't hurt to spend a little of what he had, since he did just put a damper on someone else's day all for the sake of a request.
The things I do for people Loki thought as he tried to help the poor man up. He went through the standard routine, apologizing for the incident and asking if the guy was okay. He even felt a bit of genuine concern which leaked into his actions. He didn't like having to act like a jerk when said victim didn't deserve it. In the end it was for the greater good, and most people responded to it well. Some were not as forgiving as others which this man turned out to be. The man barely heard anything Loki said, he was so shocked and angry over what happened that he snapped at Loki. The sudden outburst was enough to make the young man take a step back from the hellhound but he didn't break a sweat. He expected that things would go down this road. Demons were not the nicest bunch so a hellhound would be no exception.
“Wow, easy there buddy. I said I was sorry.” the boy replied, “I was in a hurry but I wasn't paying any attention to where I was going and accidentally bumped into you. I'm really sorry.” The boy's gaze fell on the fallen kibble everywhere, though his face showed guilt he couldn't help but wonder what the in world would a hellhound be doing with kibble. Was he planning to eat that? Just thinking about that made him feel a little sorry for the guy. There was much better things out there to eat than dog food. Perhaps he should change his plan from buying him replacement kibble to getting some real food instead? Better yet why not do both? That would be a perfect way to waste time, he could even scrap the whole stealing option from his plans if he did that. “Look, I really feel bad for what happened, why don't I b-”
Before Loki could offer to buy back what he ruined the conversation started to take a turn for the worse. The boy's body tensed as the creature made its way closer to him, taking the time to sniff him in the creepiest way possible before a sickening smile crossed his lips. The hound's actions were enough to make the boy's skin crawl, but what he said nearly gave him a heart attack. “...What?” he could hardly believe what he was hearing. Did this guy just threaten to eat him? The boy's eyes grew wide when the man said it had been awhile since he last eaten a cat. Damn dogs, what was their obsession with trying to eat him? Did he look that fucking tasty? He should have ran the moment the hellhound threatened him. Loki knew better than to hang around with guys who so much as looked at him funny, but the boy didn't run. He couldn't forget the promise he made to Azazel. As stupid as that was, he had given the man his word. He couldn't just abandon his mission right?
“I can assure you that probably isn't the case.” the boy said, giving the man a weak smile. It was hard not to show fear when threatened with being devoured by someone much bigger and stronger than he was, but Loki by sheer force of will (or stupidity) stood his ground. “That kibble of yours will be much more filling than I am, hell anything else would be much better than I am. My true form is nothing more than fluffy, and my current form isn't much better.” Dear gods he was a dead man if he couldn't talk his way out of this. He doubted he could reason his way out of this mess but he had to try. “I got a better idea that could work out in both our favors. Why don't I just buy you some replacement kibble? Or better yet two bags? The pet store isn't that far from here so it won't be much trouble. I'll even throw in a free lunch at the place of your choice. You get to have your lunch and I get to keep my body parts. Its a win win, what do you say?”

This absolutely fantastic evening was quickly ruined by this stranger. Just what was the little man’s problem? While most would take this accident with a grain of salt Gil, being the hound that he was, had decided to take it personally. The one time he didn’t take his medication he was about to tear some poor man’s face off. Guillotine was not happy, not in the least. Not only was the hound mad but he was hungry too. This made him dangerous to deal with. An angry hellhound was one thing. But an angry, hungry, hellhound was a whole nother animal. Loki would be lucky to get out of this situation with his body parts intact.
Oh how Gil loved to see other’s squirm before him. The look on Loki’s face had nearly caused him to laugh. The little man really seemed taken aback by what he had said. “It’s a little too late for apologies.” Guillotine motioned over to his spilled food. “The damage has already been done.” There wasn’t a hint of forgiveness in Gil’s eyes. The hound wasn’t one to forgive so easily. It was just in Gil’s nature to be a bit of a brute. With Loki being a cat it didn’t help his chances of getting off scott free.
There was some hope for Loki however. Gil’s nose crinkled when the male mentioned that his other form was fluffy. God, how Gil hated getting indigestion from overly furry kills. Maybe this man was right. Guillotine's forest green eyes looked him over. Loki was a bit scrawny. He wouldn’t make much of a meal, that was for sure. Gil wasn’t about to let Loki know this. The hound remained quiet as Loki continued to speak. What he said next seemed a little more promising.
Today was this stranger’s lucky day. Gil was contemplating whether or not to accept the shifter’s deal. He put up a good bargain. Maybe he could get the smaller male to pay for two bags and four steaks? Oh, he could throw in a few dog toys too. No, he didn’t want to seem like a weirdo adult hellhound who still plays with dog toys. The food would be good enough. The hound would probably be arrested for killing an innocent supernatural feline anyway. Not only that but what would Akeelah think of him? She obviously wouldn’t want to have anything to do with him if he started killing again ( It wouldn’t help that he was killing a cat.). Would she forbid him from seeing the kids if he killed this man? That was the last thing Gil wanted. The hellhound shook himself, trying to rid his mind of the anger that enveloped it. His rage died down a bit . Though, the expression on his face remained the same. His cold scare did not change. However, his words were a little less threatening this time around. “Very well cat I will accept your deal. Only I want two bags of dog food and four raw steaks, got it?” Guillotine knew he could not eat human food. So going to dinner with this cat was out of the question. This didn’t stop him from asking for those steaks that he wanted. Instead they would be raw. Gil looked down at Loki and waited for an answer.

This whole distract the hellhound plan was going down a direction that Loki didn't expect nor wanted. The plan was innocent enough, all he did was bump into him (with more force than a mere bump from someone his size could do), make him drop his stuff, then offer to buy his goods back. In the shapeshifter's mind he expected the hellhound to be pissed but not nearly as pissed as he was. Even a demon wouldn't get that mad at someone for doing what he did, especially if he made the kind of offer he intended to do. Loki barely had the chance to throw out an apology till he had said apology shoved back in his face. The unaccepted apology wasn't the issue there. Loki didn't really need the hound to accept his apology in the end, but it was what the beast said after that that frightened him.
“I suppose I could always eat you little man. “
If Loki had thought for even a second that those words would have come out of this monster's mouth he wouldn't have come anywhere near this guy. Promise or not Loki wasn't prepared to throw his life away for Azazel. This job should have been a simple and harmless one, that was what he had hoped but it turned out to be nothing like that. He should have ran then and there. He would have an angry hellhound chasing after him if he did but he could afford to take the risk. Guillotine may be big but that didn't mean that he was faster. Loki was pretty fast in both his forms so there was a chance that he could escape if he tried. But despite the boy's fears his legs wouldn't move. It wasn't fear that was holding him back, for some crazy reason though he had such a big, scary threat right in front of him the thought of failing Azazel made him stay put. As stupid as it was he couldn't back out now. Had he lost his mind?
Since Loki couldn't bring himself to run for it the boy did the only thing he could do, try to reason with the hellhound. Reasoning with a hellhound, now that was a laugh. He had a better chance winning the lottery than convincing this stupid brute not to take a bite out of him. But he tried anyway. The boy did his best to seem as unappealing as possible. It was going to be impossible to trick the hellhound into thinking that he was one of those big dangerous cats since the creature already figured out what he really was, so telling him that he was a small and fluffy creature was the only way to go. That had to throw him off a little right? After all who wanted to get a mouth full of fur? Furballs were the worse, any animal with fur, or consumed anything with fur would know that from experience. It was even easier pointing out the flaws with his human form as well. Loki didn't have any obvious muscle mass or fat on him to look that appealing, and given his size he was little better than a light snack right?
To his surprise his words seemed to be getting through the hellhound. Guillotine didn't say a word as Loki attempted to talk his way out of his situation. But the look on his face when he mentioned his feline form gave his distaste away. He could see the hound's eyes looking him over and could see him second guessing his decision. Good, now he just needed to seal the deal. Now that he finally had the hellhound's full attention he laid his original plan on the table. He would buy back double what he lost, with an extra treat on top of that. Loki fell silent for a moment to let Gil think over his offer. Would the hellhound take it? Or was he screwed either way? The hellhound continued to glare down at him but what he said gave him relief. He would take the deal, and on top of that he wanted steaks too. That was perfect! The trip to the pet store and the butcher would give Azazel enough time to show up to save the day. He just hoped he had enough money to cover the cost of everything. It sucked that he would have to dump his cash on this jerk, but it was well worth the loss to not end up as dog food. He could just make Azazel pay him back for it afterward.
“Sure, sure, whatever you want buddy.” the boy smiled at his would be killer. Man he dodged a bullet here, good thing he was able to talk his way out of this. It also helped that the bastard didn't notice anything else missing from his person either. Now that Loki had plan A back in motion he didn't need whatever it was that he had stolen, he would have to find an opportunity to sneak whatever it was that he got back into the hellhound's pocket to avoid any more problems later on. “See what happens when you calm down and listen to others? You would have gotten nothing but disappointment if you tried to eat me. Now you are going to get a crap ton of food instead of a lousy meal. Come on, lets go.” Loki would try to grab Gil's hand and lead him back to the street. “I think the pet store is closer so we should go there first, is that alright with you?”

What an interesting change of events. It was unusual for Gil to accept such strange demands from random male’s. The hound had never been the type to trust the member of the same sex. Maybe Guillotine was starting to change? Well, if he truly did want to take steps to becoming a better person this was a start. Good guys didn’t bite their company’s faces off. Even though that was just what Gil wanted to do he knew deep down that he couldn’t. Hopefully this frame of mind would continue to influence him through out the day. It would be a shame if he were to kill someone after going so long without a single incident. No, this kid wasn’t worth it. Hell, the little feline even gave Gil the rundown on how he wasn’t appetizing. Loki did make some good points. Besides, hair balls were horrible things.
With the tensions dying down Gil took a moment to relax his tense muscles. He rolled his shoulders back before looking back down at his company. Guillotine eyed the kid for a moment. Loki seemed harmless enough. If the shifter wanted to attack Gil he would have already done it, right? Confident that this situation was truly in his favor Gil took a step towards Loki. All the while Loki made a comment about how it was good to listen to others. Gil rolled his forest green eyes. Was this little shifter for real? Gil’s frown seemed to shift to a cocky smile. This man was getting more and more amusing by the minute. “I suppose you are right.”
Soon Loki asked if it was okay to go to the pet store first. Gil shrugged he didn't see a problem with it. "That's fine by m- " Guillotine flinched when Loki took his hand. The hair on the back of his neck began to stand on end again. Gil wasn’t used to people touching him, much less, trying to hold his hand. As awkward as it felt Gil, surprisingly enough, didn’t fight it. He let Loki hold his hand and lead him off to the pet store. It never crossed his mind that this little twerp was working for an enemy of his. Oh, if only he knew.

Earlier Azazel arrived back at his apartment with his new partner. This would be his new home off the streets. After a day, Azazel had a job for Loki to do for him. The kid shrugged it off and asked what he wanted. He told to find someone. He had let him know that he was a supernatural like them but something more sinister than both of them combine. Someone from Azazel's past that he needed questions that need to be answered. He kept his anger at bay while he spoke of the hellhound to Loki. Azazel told his young partner Loki how to find the hellhound and what would be noticeable of the hound he wanted to find. He chuckled some as the kid had little faith in his abilities in finding the hound. So Azazel, being comical, patted and ruffed the kid's hair and sprout out some words about believe in Azazel for he believe in Loki. In order to do some good by motivating the kid. But he didn't stay in his apartment as he let his young friend believe. He followed him out to the city and decided to stay close but not to be spotted so quickly. While Loki was out and on the search, Azazel was at a local coffee shop sitting outside, enjoying a hot cup of Joe. Waiting for the call from Loki. He wanted to ask the hound a lot of things but every time he thought of him, his blood rush up and made a evil smirk to grew over his face. A few people saw this and were talking in his vicinity of hearing. He quickly calm down as he continue to wait. The time had came and he got a call from his partner had him for a lost of words. Maybe it was because he didn't except the kid to find his target ever so quickly. Or the fact that he got hung up on before he could even pronounce a word from his lips. The fallen angel had to give it to Loki to find his target. He chuckled some as he look up to the sky. The hellhound was finally found but the fallen angel had to think of a plan on how to confront him. After a while Azazel had got a plan in his head and look at his phone. He asked some random guy on the street where the pet shop was. He learn the location and started to head to the area of where it was. The fallen angel thought if he could blend in with area as he was doing before it would work in his favor. He kept bumping himself against random people among the sea of people till he got in the area of the pet shop. He look back to his phone and decided to send Loki a text," Try and find a secluded area, I'm nearby."

Things were finally starting to go his way. Loki didn't know how he managed it, but by sheer persuasion he was able to talk his way out of becoming dog chow and bought himself some extra time to distract the hellhound while help arrived. Things would go well so long as Azazel didn't take his sweet time coming here. That could be a bit of a tricky issue though now that he thought about it. When the man told Loki what he wanted him to do they had been at home. Azazel had said he would be staying there until Loki called him. That made perfect sense to the boy, neither of them could expect the little shifter to find his target so soon. Even with the information given to him Loki was sure it was going to take him a few days at best to locate the hellhound. Azazel might have known the city but Loki wasn't as familiar with New Orlands as he was, even Azazel couldn't say he knew every corner of the city that well when he hadn't been here for a few years. A lot could change in a few years, his 'friend' could have moved elsewhere for all he knew. Loki made that perfectly clear to the man when he was able to speak his mind about the mission. Loki was smart and resourceful when he needed to be but he wasn't a fool. He could tell a difficult job when he saw one. This one sounded just like that.
That didn't stop Azazel, the man's confidence never faltered. He just smiled and told him he could do it, he even pat the shifter on the head for good measure. Damn Azazel and his stupid words, treating him like he was a damn kid. Loki was younger than his partner/roommate for sure but he was a man grown. Well, he was considered a man in his tribe, in the human world he was still considered a kid but that still had to count for something right? For a moment the boy was glad he never confessed what he was really was to the angel. It was annoying having someone pat him just because they thought he was a kid, that damn angel would probably do it more often if he knew Loki was a cat. He didn't need to be treated like a child and a house pet on top of that.
Loki forced his thoughts on Azazel to the back of his mind as he led Gil back to the pet store, but try as he might he couldn't help but think back on why he was doing what he was doing in the first place. What was this hellhound's relationship with Azazel in the first place? The man gave enough detail about who and what Gil was, but he was noticeably silent on what Gil was to him. All Loki knew was he had to lure this potentially dangerous guy Azazel's way so the man could question him. As for what those questions were, or how he planned to get the answers out of him Loki was left in the dark. Those unknown factors were beginning to bug the young male. If this guy was not a friend then Loki would be making enemies with one of the worse kind of people. Humans were a dangerous bunch to deal with, but Loki had dealt with enough human enemies to be able to handle them on his own. Supernatural enemies were a different story. They were much more unpredictable and deadly than humans were. This one already threatened to devour him just for an accident, what would he do if he found out Loki was luring him into some kind of trap?
“Here we are!” the boy said cheerfully, none of the concern in his mind visible in his face as he turned to smile at the hellhound and let the creature free. “Lead the way to the stuff you want. I'll be right behind you.” as if on queue Loki could feel the phone in his pocket vibrate. Loki waited for the hellhound to fall in step ahead of him before taking a quick look at his phone. Try and find a secluded spot, I'm nearby....well that was a lot faster than I thought. Loki was sure that it would take much longer for Azazel to make his way over here from the apartment. Something was a little fishy here, but Loki wasn't going to question it. He was glad he was going to be safe in a few minutes. But now he was presented with another problem. Getting Gil out of here and away from prying eyes. Loki followed the hellhound while sending a quick reply back to Azazel. 'We will meet you in the alley closest to the pet store.' the boy quickly typed out before shoving the phone back into his pocket. This task should be easier to do than the previous one. “I know a really good butchershop we can head to after we are done here. It's not too far off if we go take a shortcut through the alley next to here. What do you think? Sound good to you?”

Guillotine’s bad day seemed to be getting better. Sure, he might have lost his lunch but now he was about to get some real food for free! A steak dinner with a side of dog food. What could possibly be better? He wouldn’t have to spend Jesse’s money nor would he have to beg. This was perfect! Perhaps this little shifter wasn’t so bad after all? At least Loki was trying to make up for what he had done. It might have been in Gil’s best interest to be a bit nicer instead of acting like a little brat. After all, the little man could have just taken off and left Guillotine to starve.
The hellhound hoped Loki would have enough money to cover the expenses. Gil was quite a glutton when it came to food. He had always been that way. Living in a pack with eight other hounds taught him to eat as much as he can when he can. Whenever the opportunity would arise Gil would eat himself sick. It didn’t help that he could put away a lot of food before getting to that point. Gil might have said he wanted four steaks earlier but four steaks could quickly turn into eight. Loki was going to have his hands full with this one. Gil was a big hound. He needed a lot of food to keep him satisfied. Surly, Jesse would be pleased to hear that he wouldn't have to feed the hellhound today. Gil would take this time to eat his fill. Especially if other people were offering to pick up the tab.
Gil’s mouth began to water as they neared the pet store. His taste buds were anticipating what was to come. He didn’t seem to care that Loki let go of his hand. Apart of him was thankful for that. He would have looked like a fool walking into the store holding the other male’s hand. “Yeah, sure, whatever kid.” He commented when Loki began to walk behind him. The hellhound should have been more aware of his surrounding. However, his stomach seemed to be taking control over the situation. He didn’t seem to care what Loki was doing on his phone. Guillotine was about to open the front door when Loki mentioned that he knew a butcher shop that wasn’t too far away. This immediately caught Gil’s attention.
Glancing down at the smaller male Gil began to contemplate what to do next. Loki said that they could go by the butcher shop after they were done with the pet store. But Guillotine was hungry, he didn’t want to wait. Why eat dog food when he could have steaks? Gil released the door and walked back over to Loki. The beast stuffed his hands into his coat pocket and said, “Why don’t we just go now. I’m getting hungry, Cat.” Something in the back of Gil’s head told him not to go. After all they had to walk down an alley to get there. Then again was that really so strange? Back in the day Gil would do just that all the time. Alleys make perfect shortcuts. Guillotine would follow Loki if he decided to lead him into the alley. The poor fool continued to be unaware of what was about to happen.

The hellhound was acting indifferent whenever he answered him, but the hungry look in his eyes gave away how excited he was about this. Man who knew it was going to be this easy to manipulate this guy? Loki was good at manipulation, he could con and trick people into doing his bidding when he needed to, but he didn't have to work too hard with this guy. Guillotine might be big and dangerous but he was one of the simpliest beasts to figure out. His base desires were his drive. The hellhound was hungry, so manipulating him with the promise of food was the trick to win him over. Perhaps he was like that with other desires too, Loki kept a mental note of this for later use. Since he didn't know what Azazel wanted with the guy at the moment he couldn't be certain that he would never see this hellhound again, and given how the first few minutes of their encounter went it would be smart to remember how to manipulate the hellhound if they ever crossed paths again.
Speaking of Azazel it didn't take long for Loki to get a text message from his employer. Loki's job was almost complete, he had the hellhound within his grasp, now all he needed to do was get the bastard in a secluded spot for Azazel to meet him in. That was an easy enough task to accomplish, if food was the major motivator here then that was what he needed to use to lead the hellhound where he wanted him to go. After texting back where they would meet up Loki told Gil some fake story about a good butchershop nearby they could go to. At the mention of good meat the hellhound seemed to lose all interest in the petshop and asked to be taken there instead. Too easy the boy smiled at the man as Guillotine turned his back on the shop. “Sure if that's what you want. Follow me.” Man wasn't he lucky, he found his target quickly, and distracted him long enough for Azazel to make his appearance soon, all while avoiding getting killed, and without having to spend money on top of it all. Loki made his way back to the alley he and the hellhound had first came out of, making sure that Gil was following close behind him. The last thing he needed was losing track of his prey.

Everything seem to have gone pretty frigging right for the Fallen Angel. Loki, his new young partner, had found the hellhound that he wanted to question about some things in his past he could barely remember. Loki, thank the lord, did the job in finding Gil without any problem that Azazel will be able to get the answers he wanted. It felt like this task was divine as there wasn't any problem so far. Azazel look up into the sky and laugh with a crazed smile across his face. "Heavenly thank you for this, yes my Lord this is something to be extremely grateful for." Azazel felt like his punishment was getting a somewhat uplifting from his punishment that made him come to the earth. Maybe it was the Lord's way of slowly forgiving him for what he did. But that it was highly in doubt for look at Lucifer. However, Azazel didn't take the heed behind it as he was too happy to care about the negatives. As Azazel laughed on the side of the building, he gotten a few glances from the people that passed by him. Some were terrified of him and others were concerned. Azazel noticed this and quickly calm down and walk further away from the sea of people. He wanted to know a few things about his past that he couldn't help to remember that maybe the hound could tell him. But at the same time he wanted answers, he wanted to hurt the hound. Maybe it was because of divine holiness that comes his very core or the fact that Gil and Azazel had history with one another that made his blood boil like the fiery pits of hell themselves thinking about it. Possibly it was the second reason but his stubbornness didn't want to accept that. It was time for Azazel to confront the little dog and get the answers he wanted to know.
Azazel had saw that the people in the streets had grew and he had sigh at the fact for it was nuisance he had to face but one could go around. He nods to himself and teleported to outside of the coffee he was last nearby that was closest to the alley that he had saw Gil and Loki together. He coughs some as he landed back in his chair from before. Whenever he had teleported behind, it had always took a bit out of him with Azazel's slowly losing his grace. He heaved himself u from the seat with a sadistic grin covering his face as he thought it was totally worth it to get his answers from the hound. As he saw them the alley, Azazel followed and stood at the entrance of the alley. He scoffed and smirk at them as they steadily. " Hey little pup, stop right there." Azazel cherish this feeling as he stared daggers at the hound's skull from behind. " Now don't tell me you forgot little ol' me." Azazel had said in a teasing tone with his eyes turning red and black as he was ready for the confrontation between the two to begin.

Guillotine could feel his stomach growling. Its constant rumbling made him rub his midsection. Oh, if only he could eat something, anything! Gil wasn’t sure how much longer he would wait. If he didn’t eat something soon little Loki was going to be his lunch. Hey, he might be fluffy but it would be better than going hungry. Right now Gil’s hunger was beginning to make him a little cranky. As the two men entered the alley the hellhound began to grumble to himself. “Care to walk a little faster, Runt?” He then snorted, displeased with how slow they were going. “I’d hate to have to settle for a scrawny little furball.” At this point in time Gil didn’t seem to care who he insulted. Just as long as he got his food he would be fine. The problem was getting to that point.
With his hand on his stomach Gil continued to follow Loki. As they walked deeper between the buildings something didn’t seem quite right. He couldn't quite put his finger on it. Something in the back of Gil’s mind was telling him to just turn around and leave. Why would he want to do something like that? He was about to get food. Why on earth would he just up and leave? Guillotine shook the thought from his head. Though, his instincts were right. Trouble was afoot.
It didn’t take long for ‘trouble’ to show up. Little pup, those words sparked a flame in Guillotine’s eyes. How he hated to be called a pup. The jet black hair on the back of Gil’s neck began to stand on end like the hackles of an angry canine. Guillotine’s anger was coming back with a vengeance. With his muscles growing tense Gil turned to see who was behind him. There at the entrance to the alley stood a tall male. Once laying eyes on him Gil confirmed that he had no idea who this guy was. What he did know was that he reeked of holy power. That was enough to make Gil falter and take a step back. Dealing with these kinds of supernaturals was dangerous. It didn’t help that this guy had a crazy smirk on his face. What was going on here? Did this guy know him?
Soon the man spoke again. Asking Gil if he had forgotten him. For a moment Gil looked confused. He cocked his head to the side like a pup. The hound did not recognise this man. His scent was fairly familiar though, to him, all angels smelled the same. The hellhound’s nose crinkled and he bared his fangs. He was trying to look as intimidating as possible. He had no idea what this man was planning. “I have no idea who you are.“ The beast then let a growl rattle his chest. He was ready to defend himself. The PIDA couldn’t put him down for doing that, right? With the scent of this angelic man streaming into his nose Gil’s eyes began to slowly change from his usual green color to a dark red. “Consider this a warning punk. Leave or I will tear into that pretty little face of yours.”

Loki slipped back through the alley with the fearsome hellhound in toe with no difficulties at all. Oh how the boy couldn't wait to have this all end. Though Gil's ordeal would be far from done, Loki's job would be over. Sure the boy had no intentions of ditching Azazel once he finally arrived, his curiosity was too great to just go back home to sleep on the couch for a few hours till the man was done with his demon dog friend. He wanted to see how all of this turned out. Besides, he needed to see how badly this meeting would turn out. Loki didn't know much about Azazel's connection with Guillotine but he could take a good guess that if Azazel had to go through such an elaborate method to corner the hellhound that they weren't too friendly with each other. This could end badly, there could be a fight and someone could get hurt. With any luck it would be the hellhound that would get the worse of it, but Loki would have to hang back to make sure Azazel came out of this situation alive. There was no way he was just going to risk leaving the one guy he was indebted to die while his back was turned. Even if things didn't end up that badly there was still a chance that the hellhound could live and come back after Loki with a grudge. There was no way that the easily angered hell beast wouldn't hold a grudge against him for tricking him. There would be trouble once this meeting was over, and he wanted to know exactly what kind of trouble he was in for.
All of Loki's future problems would have to wait, for more trouble was heading his way at this moment. The hellhound was beginning to lose his patience. Loki, not wanting to tip the hellhound off that he was walking into a trap hadn't slowed his pace down at all once they entered the alley. But the speed they were going at didn't seem good enough for his overly large companion. The bastard was already contemplating going back to the 'eat the poor kitty cat' route again. Great, that was exactly what he needed, more damn pressure. “Hey hey take it easy there buddy, we will be there sooner than you think.” the boy tried to calm his angry companion down. “I told you the place isn't too far, you can spare me a few more moments before you start chewing on my tail can't you?” Azazel better hurry and make his appearance fast before things got messy again.
As if on queue a familiar voice echoed through the alleyway, making both men turn to face its maker. While the hellhound looked more angered and taken aback by the newcomer the little shapeshifter looked pleased. “You came here faster than I expected. Good thing too, your friend over there was probably going to eat me if you came a little later.” the boy smiled and casually walked over to greet Azazel. Never in his life did he think he would be so happy to see the other man in his life, he had to resist the urge to purr just from his presence. As much as Loki was glad that he would avoid being dog chow he didn't want to completely embarrass himself. Loki took his place by Azazel's side while the two men exchanged words. Well this was turning out to be rather interesting. Though Azazel seemed to know this man well enough Gil didn't seem to recognize him at all. That seemed a little odd in Loki's book. What was going on here?
“You really don't remember him?” Loki cocked his head to the side as he looked over the hellhound curiously. “That seems rather odd. You don't look that bright but you can't be so dumb that you could forget a face like that.” Azazel was too intimidating to easily forget, Loki knew that all too well. Guillotine was practically the same. Loki would have a hard time forgetting someone like either of them, so why couldn't the hellhound remember? “Take a good long look and try to remember. If you can get the answer right I will give you a prize.” Loki put his hand in his pocket to pull out the item he stole from the hellhound earlier. During the theft the shifter didn't have the time to check out what he had taken but now that he lifted it out for the hellhound to see he finally got a good look at it himself. “What is this?” the boy looked the object over in his hand. Was this a cookie? The boy sniffed it for a second before chuckling he could hardly believe it, he had stolen a dog treat. “First kibble, now a dog treat. You really are just a big ol' puppy dog aren't you? If you weren't so homicidal I'd call you adorable.”
